Weekly Update August 24 - 29
It’s Almost September!
All classes are running as scheduled this week.
Our Fall Events are Ready for Registration!
We have moved our annual Warrior Week to February of 2027. Historically, we have always run Warrior Week (Our Black Belt Exams and accompanying events) during the month of October. Now that the dojo takes a trip to Okinawa every October, however, I have opted to move it to February.
That being said, we are still going to offer two of our events during the month of October and then again in February. These two events are our Board Breaking Event and our Inner-Dojo Kata Competition.
All of the details, and registration links, can be found below.
Have a great Week, everyone!
Sunday, November 8th, 2:00 - 5:00 PM
Whether your child has done this event before OR you are just curious about how, and why, board breaking techniques are so helpful, this event is for your family. This year we are opening the event up to the following individuals:
Junior Students AND their Parents : All Ranks
Adult Students : All Ranks
Once we reach maximum capacity OR the registration deadline arrives, we will then break all students into 30 minute blocks so that everyone knows when they will need to arrive.
The MAX Capacity for this event is 30 Students/Parents. If parents want to learn to break (and we welcome that!), please register as an actual participant. (Example, if a child and one parent want to do the event, please register for 2 people)
Event Tuition: $40 Per Participant (3 Individual Boards)

Join us for our Inner-dojo Kata competition on Sunday, November 15! This event is open to all students and designed to be fair, fun, and skill-appropriate.
$40 registration fee
Students are grouped by appropriate age/skill level so everyone competes with others at a similar skill.
This is for any Junior student Orange Belt & Above; Adult Students of any rank.
Each participant will be assigned a 30-minute competition time block so families do not need to stay the whole event.
Instructors will help students feel prepared and confident.
