2026 Karate Camp Season Has Come to a Close!

I cannot express how impressed we were with ALL of our campers this year! They did an amazing job and blew us away with their progress!

I would like to give special shout out to the instructors who ran the camps. Well done, All!

How Do Students Register for 2027 Summer Camp?

All of our 2026 campers have received the early bird registration link. They have until tomorrow night to register. On Wednesday AM, the registration link will be open to the rest of the dojo for those who would like to take the remaining 2027 spots. Please watch your email this week for details.

NOTE: While the link is up on the website, I do ask that everyone wait until Wednesday AM to use it - unless your child attended this year. On Wednesday AM, it will be open for everyone.

Our Final group of Campers! Beginner Camp 2026

Welcome, Tony Sensei!

Tony Sensei will be joining us for approximately 6 weeks as he returns to Columbus for a visit. If you are not familiar with him, he is my direct upline in the Matsubayashi-Ryu Karate Do Linage. He is currently living in Okinawa full time, training as a student under Arakaki Sensei. Our dojo is in the Arakaki Dojo linage - so having him at the dojo is like having “family” visit. His depth of Knowledge is tremendous and we are fortunate to have him spend time at the dojo while he is town.

He will be teaching the Black Belt class this summer - which allows me to train as a student alongside everyone else. I am so grateful that he is stepping into that role for a few months so that I can absorb the knowledge he is bringing to us from Japan.

For those of you who are not familiar with him, Tony is from Columbus. He retired from the Columbus Police Department a few years ago and embarked on his life dream - to live and train in Okinawa..

For those who DO know him, please take a moment to congratulate him on his newly acquired rank of Godan. (5th Degree). I will be hosting a congratulatory event for him at my home later this summer. Adult students and all Black Belts will be invited. Please keep an eye out for more details.

Photo From Tony Sensei’s Promotion in Okinawa last Month. This is such a great accomplishment and we are so proud of him! Also, in the event you don’t know him, yet - he is easy to spot as he stands tall in a crowd!
